The Harris County Young Democrats endorsed one of their fellow members, former school teacher and City Hall Chief of Staff Maverick Welsh at their monthly meeting tonight.

“Maverick’s experience as a teacher and a community organizer make him uniquely qualified to connect with the young people of District H.”  according to Dave Rosen, HCYD’s Director of Development.  “Additionally, he is the only candidate ready to hit the ground running on day one, getting results for every resident of District H.” 

“Thank you to HCYD for your overwhelming vote of confidence,” Welsh said. “I have always worked hard to create opportunities for young people. I look forward to making sure that everyone in District H is represented as a member of City Council.”
