Graffiti, weeded lots, and piles of trash negatively affect everybody in Houston. Also, irresponsible development threatens the quality of life of our neighborhoods and the people who live there. It’s time we clean up our city and preserve our unique neighborhoods, because District H is a place where everybody matters.

MAVERICK’S PLAN

District H is a great place to live, and has a distinct quality of life worth preserving and improving. Unfortunately, not enough is being done to prevent the ongoing destruction of historic homes and buildings, or to improve the quality of life in all neighborhoods. As President of the Norhill Historic District, Maverick fought for tough historic protection, to close nuisance bars on North Main, and to organize neighborhood watch programs to protect our homes and families. Maverick will work to enforce sensible building standards, increase community involvement, and encourage smart investment so that everybody in District H can enjoy a safer, better place to live.
